Our People

People are the most important resource for FISH and everyone is as important as the other. Together we form part of the whole of FISH and together we work to make a difference in bringing about positive long term sustainable change in the lives of individuals, families, communities, Australia and the world.

Lisa Fieldhouse

EDUCATION MANAGER

Lisa was born and raised in Balga, Western Australia, however her family origins are as a proud Koori woman from Armidale and Redfern, New South Wales.

Like many First Nations People, her family was significantly impacted by assimilationist policy and forced separation during the Stolen Generation years.

Throughout her life Lisa has actively pursued a career working with young people and families and subsequently completed a degree in Youth Work at Edith Cowan University.

Lisa’s passion is to create meaningful opportunities for First Nation Peoples’ voices to be heard and to build the capacity of all people to have a great appreciation and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

Lisa is excited to join the FISH family as together we work to highlight First Nation voices, improve the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and break intergenerational cycles of trauma, poverty and engagement in the justice system.
