FISH Publishing strives to create opportunities for commercial independence for First Nations creatives.

There is an ever-growing chorus of Australians demanding that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices be heard. The perspectives, the wisdom, and the stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are indispensable if we want to know our continent, our nation’s spirit, and ourselves.

In response to that need FISH Publishing was founded in 2022 as an extension of FISH’s work in the creative space. Our publishing arm has been formed to stimulate more First Nations literary creation in Australia that promotes authenticity, healing, unity, and truth-telling.

FISH believes that creativity is critical to bringing about positive social change for First Nations people. Generations of First Nations artists and creative thinkers have used song, painting and other visual and written forms of art to share wisdom, raise awareness of oppression, inequality and injustice and to promote positive stories to bring about social change.

Publishing works closely and collaboratively with our creators to facilitate the creative process in a clear and achievable way whilst providing culturally secure creative development, publication, sales, and distribution services for our clients.

If you would like to sponsor a project to help stimulate positive and authentic First Nations content please get in touch with us at [email protected] to find out more. You can join our amazing community of corporate partners who support our wonderful creators and their projects.

Our first book will be published July 2022.
